Do Good Week Project – through October!

For two decades, SHIM (South Hills Interfaith Movement) has connected neighbors in need with holiday gifts at our annual Angel Emporium with the help of hard-working volunteers, local congregations, school groups and our community. This year, because of changing needs, the program is being reimagined. By changing the program to solely accept gift cards, parents that are helped by SHIM can experience the joy of holiday shopping – and bargain hunting – while choosing the most appropriate gifts for their children. SHIM will collect gift cards in $25 increments from Giant Eagle, Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Visa or MasterCard, and distribute them to our families at a holiday celebration in November. SHIM will also be collecting cash donations to purchase additional gift cards for the program.

As our “Do Good Week – and Beyond” project, We are asking our sisters to purchase gift cards as described above, and bring to meetings, Lunch Bunches, or to mail to Mary Kay Mitchell, 749 Gypsy Lane, Pgh, PA 15228, to be given to SHIM. Thank you.
